Biography
Young H. Cho (PI) is an Adjunct Professor for the USC EE Department and a Senior Research Scientist at the Networking Division of ISI. He leads various research efforts in computer network intrusion detection and prevention with FPGAs, SoCs, and microcontrollers, as well as design in VLSI. He also has extensive industrial experience in developing high-performance networking interfaces, switches, and custom networking appliances.Research Summary
Young Cho's research interests include Cloud Computing, Data Science, ML/AI Hardware Acceleration, Self-Sustaining IoT, FPGA Architecture, Hardware IP Obfuscation, Quantum Physics based Network Security, Advanced Audio Processing, On-chip Energy/Temperature Monitoring, High Sensitivity Gas Sensors, Precision Time Synchronization, and AI-augmented Education Systems.Awards
